Sharon Minrath - Lace twin set made on Passap shown at SCK/MKGOP Seminar in June 2008

Above Sharon Minrath, who was our Passap instructor at the Spring City Knitters/Machine Knitters Guild of PA seminar held in Spring City, PA on Friday and Saturday, June 6 & 7, 2008 models her Passap lace twin set which includes a lace jacket and shell. She used the U-100 to create the lace work.

Compare this lace garment to the Summer Lace Top designed by Tammy Noble. In a previous post Margo Ketchum models the top. I bet there are many machine knitters who didn't realize the Passap could do a great job at knitting lace. Enjoy comparing the two garments.

Regards,

Donna

Knit-along with Tammy, July and August 2008

The Spring City Knitters/Machine Knitters Guild of PA Seminar was a success. He had 90 attendees over the two day seminar held Friday and Saturday June 6 & 7, 2008. The attendees had nothing but praise for our seminar. I hope to upload photos of the event soon and chat more about what happended soon. So watch the the postings.

As a way to thank those who attended the seminar, Knit and Sew offered an opportunity to practice their knitting skills with Tammy Noble. I have uploaded photos taken from the July 19th Knit along. The response to participate was so great a second session has been planned for Saturday, August 16th, 2008 at Knit and Sew.
Margo Ketchum, beaming with delight wears the Summer Lace Top designed by Tammy Noble. The top was knitted on the Brother standard machine. After the August knit-along, information about how to obtain the pattern will be provided by sending an email to Knit and Sew, Spring City, PA at knitandsew44@yahoo.com.
