Summer Lace Top, knit by Donna Streets

As a way of expressing gratuide to those who attended the Spring City Knitters/Machine Knitters Guild of PA Seminar, Tammy Noble held a "Knit-Along with Tammy" event in July has another schedule for this month, August 2008. Since I was unable to attend the July session, I had private instruction with Tammy.

Above is a photo of the Summer Lace Top I knitted. It's made from cotton/rayon yarn. The top was made on the Brother knitting machine with the lace carriage. The lace pattern was from the Brother pattern book. I used my garter carriage to knit the hem before doing the lace pattern and at the neckline neckline after knitting the lace pattern.

The skirt is my own design. It is made on both the Brother and Passap machines from silk and acrylic yarn.
If you live in the Philadelphia area, consider visiting the Spring City Knitters. Our next meeting will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 from 10:00 AM to noon. At Knit and Sew, 44 N. Main St., Spring City, PA 19475. For more information email Tammy Noble at knitandsew44@yahoo.com

Regards,

Donna
